Driving Dad's Car
Well, I'm halfway through this pregnancy, we can't wait to meet this little guy in June. Jonathan is very excited that he will have a little brother to play and roughhouse with :)
EileenLast night our friend Sandy babysat for us and her husband had learned how to play La Bamba so he could play it for Jonathan. She sent me this picture, saying that Jonathan didn't want to go to bed. Look how enthralled he looks, they look like they are doing a duet together. :)
I wonder how old he needs to be before I can let him take guitar lessons.Well, it is confirmed that toddlers dream. Tonight Jonathan said, "Choo choo!" in his sleep, we heard him on the baby monitor, and could see he was sound asleep with his eyes closed. I guess he was dreaming about trains. :)
I will spare you all the details in this post, but I had to document the special occasion....
For the past week or so JZ has been announcing to us when he needs to potty. They say that this is one of the signs of toilet training readiness, so tonight I bought JZ his own toddler potty. Sean and I explained to him what it was for, and he had fun trying to sit on the potty fully clothed. We told him that if he needed to go he could tell us and we would help him use his new potty. As we were getting him ready for bed we asked if he wanted to try his new potty and he said yes. Sure enough, he shocked us both by successfully doing his business. Who knew we'd be so proud of this accomplishment? I'm sure we are a ways a way from him being potty trained, but it was exciting nonetheless. They say boys can take until they are almost three to toilet train, so we will be patient and go at his own pace since he is only 18 months, but this is a wonderful big boy milestone. What a guy!Today we took Jonathan to his first music class. He had a lot of fun, especially during Jam Time when he got to play with any musical instruments he wanted!
We don't recall teaching him the word iPad, but apparently he knows what it is and how to use it.
